Lahaul Valley
Keylong is the hub of Himalayan ice climbing. The Pitidhar waterfall freezes every December, forming 40–60m multi-pitch routes accessible within 30 minutes of town. Ideal for beginners and intermediates.

Spiti Valley
High cold desert — some of India’s most remote ice climbing. The HOD waterfall near Kaza freezes to WI3–WI4 by January. A true Himalayan adventure at 4,000m+.
Season: Jan – Mar · 3,800–4,500m
Zanskar Valley
Legendary. The frozen Zanskar river passes beneath towering ice walls. The Zanskar gorge has India’s boldest ice routes — only accessible in deep winter.
Season: Jan – Feb · 3,500–4,000m
